Description: Beginning wood carving covers the basics of wood carving, including best woods to use, different carving tools, and where to purchase supplies.  Participants will have the opportunity to try different carving tools, and learn the basic techniques used for all carving projects. 

 

Skill Level: Beginner

About the InstructorRos Harper has been wood carving for 20 years, using hand tools and power tools.  She learned to carve from a Master carver at the Mount Diablo woodworking center in Pleasanton.  She specializes in carving birds.
