Class Description
Cleo will be working in oil, though she is well versed in watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Our focus will be in simplifying our scenes, leaving out clutter that detracts from your focus, and designing powerful compositions. We will meet at Frank Bette Center on the first day with the painting location TBD. About the Instructor: Bay Area artist Cleo Vilett is an award-winning plein air painter with degrees in marine biology and science illustration. Inspired by the natural world and the interplay of urban and wild landscapes, she has created murals, illustrations, and sculptures for natural science institutions. A dedicated educator and lifelong learner, Cleo has been recognized at plein air events for more than a decade. Notes: Some experience is recommended, if working in mediums other than oil; 18+ years; minimum enrollment required for class to proceed.
