About the instructor: Born and raised in the Bay Area, Cleo brings her passion for the natural world into her paintings. She works outside and from life as much as possible and is drawn to just about any subject if the light is hitting it right. Cleo is particularly interested in representing how people use outdoor spaces and the intersection of urban and wild landscapes. With degrees in marine biology and science illustration, she has worked on many large scale murals, illustrations and sculptures for natural science institutions.
Winning awards for over a decade in plein air events, Cleo continues to create work with impact. She thrives on growth and cultivating growth in others, while forever a curious student herself.

Description: Cleo will be working in oil, though she is well versed in watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Our focus will be in simplifying our scenes, leaving out clutter that detracts from your focus, and designing powerful compositions. We will meet at Frank Bette Center on the first day with the painting location TBD.
Fee: $250 Members; $300 Non-members
