Description: Unlock your creative eye through this playful, three-session photo scavenger hunt designed to spark curiosity and sharpen your visual storytelling. Each class offers prompts and themes that guide you to explore light, shape, gesture, and emotion right in your everyday surroundings. Whether you’re just starting or rediscovering your camera, you’ll build confidence while connecting with others. Expect fun challenges, surprising insights, and images that reveal what’s often overlooked. Bring any camera (including mobile), an open mind, and your sense of wonder.
Fees: $200 Members; $220 Non-members
Medium: Photography; Conceptual, documentary and experimental components.
Materials: Digital and/or film cameras and phones. Curiosity and enthusiasm a must!
Notes: Minimum registration required for workshop to proceed. Open to all artistic levels; 16 years+. Minors must have parental permission.​​

Jeff Heyman
About the instructor: Jeff Heyman received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Photography from San Francisco State University and studied under photographers Don Worth, Jack Welpott, Catherine Wagner and Melanie Walker. An award-winning fine art photographer and photojournalist, his work has been widely published and exhibited, including at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts in Alameda (where he participated in Alameda on Camera eight times), and the de Young Museum in San Francisco.
