Dates & Times:  Sunday, March 16

                            11:00 am - 1:00 pm

     
Description:  A demonstration workshop on how to mat and frame photographs using precut mats. Advice will be offered on matting and framing techniques, sizing photos for matting, cutting mats, using non-reflective museum glass or plexiglass, installing d-rings, and choosing mats and frames. Students can practice on a demonstration photo, mat, frame, and D-rings. Open to all, this workshop will also help photographers preparing their Alameda on Camera submissions.


Fees:  $25 Members; $35 Non-members
     
Medium:  Photography

Materials:  There will be individual hands-on matting and framing practice with instructor-supplied materials!

Notes:  Minimum registration required for workshop to proceed. Open to all artistic levels; 18 years and older.​​

Jeff Heyman

About the instructor: Jeff Heyman received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Photography from San Francisco State University and studied under photographers Don Worth, Jack Welpott, Catherine Wagner and Melanie Walker. An award-winning fine art photographer and photojournalist, his work has been widely published and exhibited, including at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts in Alameda (where he participated in Alameda on Camera eight times), and the de Young Museum in San Francisco.
