Why become a Frank Bette artist member?
Members receive our bi-monthly newsletters with information about events, exhibits, opportunities and classes. Commission: Artists all receive the same commissions (60%), but volunteers pay a smaller entry fee than non-vounteers.
Reduced exhibition fees. Members receive discounts on submission fees for Group Thematic Exhibits:
Members-only exhibitions. Members may participate in Special Event exhibits, such as the Holidays at FrankBette. Volunteer Form Art Supply Exchange. Artist members may take advantage of special deals on occasional art supplies donated to the Center’s Art Supply Exchange. (They may also donate supplies to the Center for the exchange.) Contact us for details. Exhibits Group Thematic Exhibits. Three times a year, the Center presents a new theme for exhibits in the Main Gallery. These exhibits, curated by staff members and installed by volunteers, hang salon-style and provide artists publicity and marketing opportunities. On the second Friday of each month the public is invited to an Opening Reception to view and purchase art. Exhibiting and member artists attending Opening Receptions have the opportunity to network with other artists and to meet Center patrons. Note to artists: refer to submission guidelines for more information on thematic exhibits and for how to prepare artwork. Solo Exhibits. Artist members in good standing are welcome to submit proposals for month-long special exhibits in the Signature Gallery. These exhibits are not required to conform to the group themes in the Main Gallery and may showcase particular concepts, media, and styles of work. |
