About the instructor: Mela Delgado is a visual artist based in the Bay Area who specializes in creating hand-painted and mixed media mandalas. With over 20 years of experience working with glass, mosaics, and mixed media. Mela has showcased her art in galleries and museums and has worked at various museums throughout the region. Currently, she serves as a program manager for Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda. In addition to her work as an artist, Mela is also a certified yoga teacher who focuses on the sacred feminine and sound healing. She uses mandalas as a tool to meditate, cultivate patience, and connect with her ancestors, mind, body, and soul.

Instructor: Mela Delgado Dates: October 28 & 29 Day & Time: Sat. & Sun., 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Description: In this painted and mixed media mandala class, we will be celebrating our ancestors and honoring a loved one who has passed away. Using a variety of materials, students will have the opportunity to create a unique and meaningful mandala that reflects the memory of their loved one. Through the creative process, we will explore the themes of life, death, and remembrance, and how these can be expressed through art. This class is perfect for anyone looking to honor the memory of a loved one or explore their own personal connection to their ancestors. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials will be provided. Come join us for two days of creativity and reflection. Fees: $125 Members; $150 Non-members Materials list: Materials fee of $15 to be paid to instructor. Notes: All skill levels are welcome. Open to 16 - 100 years of age.
