The Frank Bette Center for the Arts is first and foremost a community of supporters who share Frank Bette's legacy and vision and the Center's values, and mission.

Creativity is a basic, powerful, and defining human capacity. Exercising, expressing, and appreciating creativity is crucial for the health of individuals and communities. And, the arts offer an opportunity to develop and understand the creative process within a supportive community.

Frank's dream of an art center with a friendly neighborhood ambiance with the aesthetics of a fine art gallery
is realized in the lovely yellow Victorian house on Paru Street and Lincoln in Alameda.
