About the instructor: Jeka Lambert is a former corporate trainer. She’s been teaching art and design classes since 2001, bookmaking classes since 2013. Three of her miniature books were included in the 2016 national Tiny Book traveling exhibit. Each of those books was featured in the exhibit’s promotional materials. Her background is in architecture, costume design for theater, and fiber arts. Her beaded jewelry has been included in international juried exhibits, books and magazines. Three of her bead students have won national awards for their beadwork.

Description: In this hands on workshop, students will learn fundamental printing techniques to produce beautiful multi-color, multi-layer prints using the popular Gelli monoprinting plate. We’ll use texture tools, stamps, hand painting, ombre (color fades) and subtractive methods to produce lots of unique one-of-a-kind prints. Monoprint = one print. What’s absolutely fabulous about the Gelli plate is that it’s simple to use - you don’t need a printing press or other expensive equipment to get gorgeous works of art perfect for framing, greeting cards, artist trading cards, handmade books, art journals, prints on textiles and more.
