About the instructor: Carolina Tapia was born in Chile, where she developed as a lifelong artist with experience in many forms of art including printmaking, drawing, painting, specializing in drip art, inspired by Jackson Pollock’s technique. He would make use of such unconventional tools as sticks, hardened brushes and even basting syringes. After her introductory studies in art and design, she came to the United States at age 23, to continue her art education. Now living in Alameda, she is a successful artist, as well as an accomplished designer, poet and realtor. Her love for people makes her want to teach art with passion.

Instructor: Carolina Tapia-Urzua Dates: August 26 Day & Time: Saturday., 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Description: Learn to rock paint using medium size river rocks, acrylics and glitter to create festive motives that can be use as decoration, paper weight, door stopper, etc. Rocks come already washed and we will use a prime white color first, let it dry and then start creating some designs. Students can create at the moment or bring a design idea from home to apply. Fees: $75 Members; $85 Non-members Materials list: All materials included! Notes: All skill levels are welcome.
