Learn traditional Chinese painting, using brush, ink, rice paper, inkstone to paint and enjoy the spiritual pleasure of physical exercise.  You will learn how to choose a good brush, the right way to hold it and basic copying methods and will appreciate famous ancient Chinese painting.   It’s fun for anybody! No supplies required the first day of class.

You will appreciate the famous ancient Chinese Han rubbings.  After class, you will be able to write Chinese couplets and blessings for Chinese spring festival celebrations. It’s fun for anybody!  No supplies required for first day of class.

About the instructor:  Our volunteer instructor, Hanna Zhang, graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China.  As a college professor in China, she taught Chinese calligraphy and Chinese painting for more than 30 years.
