About the instructor: Art has always been a part of Colleen’s life paralleling her development as a person, through education, becoming an adult, raising children and her professional career. She has successfully merged them all somehow and has been addicted to education her entire life. She is honored to hold an MFA in painting from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Now with a business degree, a graphic design degree and an MFA, Colleen has all the knowledge and motivation she needed to pursue her fine art practice and teach and inspire students from around the globe.

Title: Alcohol Inks: 3 Sessions Online
Instructor: Colleen Gianatiempo Dates: January 18, 25 and February 1 Time: Wednesdays, 9:30am-11:30am PST Online only! Description: In this art class, students will have the opportunity to explore the exciting mediums of alcohol inks, cold wax, and mixed media. Alcohol inks are a vibrant and versatile medium that can be used to create stunning abstract paintings and other works of art. Cold wax, on the other hand, is a medium that can be used to add texture and depth to paintings, and can be combined with alcohol inks to create unique and expressive works of art. Students will learn the fundamentals including how to mix and apply these mediums, and how to incorporate them into mixed media art. They will also learn about the various techniques and effects that can be achieved with these mediums and will have the chance to experiment with different approaches and styles. Throughout the course, students will work on individual projects that allow them to explore their own artistic interests and visions and will receive feedback and guidance from the instructor and their peers. This class is suitable for both beginner and more experienced artists and will provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to create dynamic and expressive works of art using alcohol inks, cold wax, and mixed media.
