Move your knowledge and skills to the next level as you paint the delightful estuaries, boats, parks, and architecture of Alameda with this exciting new outdoor workshop by award-winning artist and instructor Mark Monsarrat (participant in the 2007 Frank Bette Center plein-air paint-out). Each day includes lecture/demo/handouts by artist, followed by guided student painting and critiques. Demonstrated medium is oil, but acrylics and others invited as well.

Mark Monsarrat

After brief stints in engineering and the corporate business world, he pursued the arts and earned a BFA in Drawing, at California College of the Arts. Over next 15 years, created and sold fine ink and watercolor prints of California scenes. Since 1995: post-graduate studies in painting, including SF Art Institute, plein-air workshops; painting instructor; major landscape paintings in oils and acrylics.
