TAROT is an ancient system of divination using a set of 78 cards. In the past the Tarot has been view by many just for fortune telling, even spooky or evil and daunting to learn. In modern times, the tarot has become a way to understand what we don’t already know and a way we can empower our selves.
The tarot consists of 4 suites, 10 cards for each, that make up the minor arcana. There are 4 people cards for each suite which are the court cards, these 56 cards have a direct correlation to the elements: air, fire, water and earth, The major arcana consist of the remaining 22 cards shows us the journey through life and all types of experiences we might have. These cards relate to the element of ether.
The exact origins of the Tarot are unknown although many speculate that it derived from the ancient Egyptian Mystery schools, the Book of Thoth or perhaps from a deck of playing cards made for the Italian Visconti- Sforza families in the 15th century.
Miriam Jacobs, BFA, RPE, CMT helps people change with an energy medicine process called polarity therapy. This therapy brings about a profoundly deep healing - both physical and even emotional - that gets to the root of the pain for longer lasting results. At times she uses the tarot in her bodywork sessions.
She conducts nationally approved trainings in Polarity Therapy & tarot workshops for artists and healers.
Miriam is creating her own deck of tarot cards, which will also serve as a Polarity Therapy flash cards. For updates and to view the cards please go to: www.polaritywellness.com
