Teen Fiction-Writing Workshop

**Minimum enrollment of 3 students for workshop to proceed and maximum of 10 students.**

Materials: Writing materials (paper, pens); Students should bring 5 copies of a 5-10 page story they’ve written. (You may bring an excerpt from a larger project as well, but be sure that it stands on its own.)

Class Description: In this workshop, students will learn an effective style for workshopping their fiction with others. We will use a neutral workshop style. Students will polish a piece or two of their own and learn how to be better readers of other peoples’ work, as well as their own.

About the Instructor: Sara Adams is a Montessori teacher in Berkeley.  Her other passion and work is writing. She has published fiction, nonfiction and poetry in The Redlands Review, Shampoo Poetry, Line Zero, Cell Poems and underground literary magazines. She swears by the neutral workshop technique and loves to encourge others to work together to become better writers — and have tons of fun while they’re at it!
