Plein Air Paintout (PAPo) Work Teams
Be a part of Alameda's only major citywide event celebrating all that's wonderful about our beloved home town.

Leaders and Volunteers still needed for these jobs:

Display Walls: Need a leader to oversee the refurbishment, painting and transport of the displays to each event.
Will need 2-3 volunteers to paint and refurbish displays during the first weeks of July. Will need 6 volunteers on
Thursday 8-11, Friday 10am-1pm, 8-9pm and Saturday 7-9pm.

Volunteer Reminder: Daily contact volunteers to remind them of their commitment.

Friday/Saturday Exhibit Installation “Hanging” :
Leader plus 2 volunteers - Friday 1-4pm, Saturday 8-10am - help artists hang paintings

Poster/postcard Distribution : Leader and 2 volunteers to deliver and post posters and postcards various
places including Bay Farm - list provided - Rob Ratto for Park Street, Marsha Harrison Towne Centre

Photography : Make sure events and award winning paintings are photographed.

August Exhibit Installation - Team Leader Needed: Leader plus 2-4 volunteers to hang August show in FBCA
gallery August 2 and 3

Forty Artist Assistants needed to help provide coverage for artists' booths at the Plein Air Art Exhibit & Sale, Saturday, July 31 at Alameda Towne Center, Park Street at Otis Drive. Twenty volunteers needed for each of two shifts: 11:00am - 2:00pm and 2:00 - 5:00pm.

Artist Care and Comfort: Becca Payne Team Leader - housing for artists, Artist’s Bio Book, and a lot more!

Welcome Reception: Becca Payne Team Leader - will need 2 volunteers Monday, July 26 - 5-8 for setup and
clean up

Quick Draw - Margaret Fago Team Leader – need 2 volunteers 7:30-10am and 10am to 1pm

Sales - Anne Marie Foley Team Leader – need 2 volunteers Thursday Noon to 6:30; Friday 5-8pm and
Saturday 10-2 and 2-7pm.

Friday Awards Ceremony: Team Leaders Genie Scott and Monica Satterthwaite and Painting Display Walls
Team Leader. Need 6 volunteers - 10-1pm - set up displays

Awards Ceremony MC’s - Faye Wilson - Ginny Chabre

Saturday Exhibit and Sale: Team Leader Monica Satterthwaite - oversees set up and hanging of paintings.

PR Team Leader: Yvonne Estrada Team Leader - need a volunteer to write newspaper stories.

Make Awards - Mi’Chelle Fredrick

Plein Air Article for website: - Karen Malpas

Paint Me! - Team Leader Debra Owen – need a volunteer to help with admin and coordinate location info.

Make Artist’s maps - Volunteer Group at Cardinal Point

Welcome Bags: Need someone who will collect items for Artist Welcome bags.
