Barbara’s photography has a minimalist point of view as she tries to convey a photographic story with as few objects as possible. In this exhibit’s images, she has tried to capture the essence of Alameda by photographing just one intersection on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

High Street Station 3 by Jeff Cullen
Jeff looks for and finds abstract expressions in the world’s random assortments and dada-esque quirkiness and value in everyday objects. Line, shape, texture, color, and contrast found in the commonplace become the subject and experience. He is also attracted to graffiti, not to document its existence, but to repurpose it by isolating a portion so it can stand on its own as a new art object.
HS Grand Dame by Suzanne D'Arcy
Suzanne works ala prima in oils, in studio and does plein air outside the studio. Working outside in the natural environment allows her to be attentive to light, color and atmosphere. She often takes her plein air oil “sketches” and works up larger, more formal paintings in the studio. She also paints the human figure whenever she can. “When I’m painting I lose all sense of objectivity, I transcend from reality to the imaginary concept of “Mindscape”! I open my mind and my heart to new possibilities and escape. My artwork is a reflection of what’s showing up from within! “ Joanne Johnson
