| (previous / next) Michael Singman-Aste To me, photography is less about capturing a moment than gaining a new perspective on people and objects by observing them out of context. This is achieved through close-ups which obscure the subject’s environment, the use of dim lighting, digital collage, and a smattering of PhotoShop. When you get up close to the perceived ordinary, or glance around as you hurry to work, you may be surprised by the subjects hidden in plain sight. I've been told I have "a good eye," which begs the question: What's wrong with the other one? Visit Michael Singman-Aste website.
