| (previous / next) Elena Radock I am a fiber artist, quilter, fabric painter and illustrator residing in Alameda. I primarily enjoy fabric as a medium because its varied textures and flexibility enables me to manipulate my work to achieve my desired effect. Fiber arts utilize techniques from a variety of disciplines including drawing, dying, painting, printmaking, sewing, sculpture, weaving and quilting to create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces. Quilting these pieces allows me to add depth and structure to my painted pieces. I am currently competing for a very high-end quilting machine that will enable me to expand the range of quilting I use in my fiber arts beyond what I can do with a regular sewing machine.
