| (previous / next) Jeannine Chappell I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and, after school in North Carolina and New York City, moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I have lived ever since. I began painting in my early 20’s, and worked in mixed media on paper for years, exhibiting around the Bay Area. About twelve years ago I began combining this love for working on paper with computer art, and have developed a unique style in which I create original paintings and drawings on paper, transfer them into the computer, and edit them with Adobe Photoshop. I have also created several artist’s books. This technique allows me the best of two worlds – the spontaneity of watercolor, pencil, and crayon on paper and the editing capabilities of the computer. I love to play with composition, and the computer is the perfect tool. My work has a collage quality, as I often combine various works on paper into a final image. Visit Jeannie Chappel website.
