I also have to tell you this!...I spent all day Saturday getting the most exciting pictures – and then finally figured out that I was outside of my map by half a block! I could hardly believe it. Got some good shots on Sunday too but they just don’t compare. I’ll attach some to this email so you can see them. I didn’t use Photoshop for anything besides cropping and adjusting the brightness, contrast. I took shots from model ships inside a clock shop with the window reflections at different times of the day. I’m so happy I got these pictures but totally bummed out that I broke the rules by accident and can’t show them! It made me get really interested in the reflections in windows though and the dream-like compositions within them. Aliea Wallace |
Thank you for the...opportunity to share my thoughts and one of the images from my AOC experience. Friday night proved to be a beautiful "Moon Lit" evening despite weather reports to the contrary. Alice and I left the meeting, and after a quick bite of pizza, we scoped out Area 35, deciphering my location from a thumbnail map and 2 hard of seeing navigators. Returning to my studio, I reviewed and outlined Area 35 on Google Maps and discovered we were off by several blocks, close but no cigar. My "sixth sensed" kicked in coupled with my inability to sleep and my need to explore my area, not leaving anything to "Chance", I packed up my gear and went out Treasure Hunting with my new enlarged road map. Well what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a beautiful moonlit sky and incredible Victorians in front of my viewfinder to boot. My "Purpose" capture some of these amazing buildings (after another scout); My "Goal" not wake up anyone. Enjoy the view. Thank you all for your support. Thanks Alice for encouraging me to enter my app. Richard Leon |

| I am Glad to report... I am glad to report that I have found some solutions to the enigma of how to incorporate photography into 3D pieces. I have managed to pre-build a sizeable, as in 2 ft. long, origami piece, called the Match- box Kachinas (you and Susan saw the flat for it), minus its photos, of course. I have built a tiny miniature facsimile of it also, minus its photo component. And last, I have written and drawn a small book about Boiler Elves, again minus its photo components. Except for the book, the photos are going to be abstract stuff. I am hoping and hoping and hoping that my piece of the map can yield steam, moss, pebble or floral groundcover pics for the book. Just to let you know the fascinating trail I am travel- ling. Droth |
